Anti virus
Written By Charlie Walker
By John Ling
They worked all day
from early till late,
like a little army.
Soldiers, officers, volunteers,
all as one, all in step,
some in uniform,
some in silly hats,
ignoring the icy cold.
We were regimented,
listed, recorded, observed,
pricked in the arm.
After fifteen minutes,
if we were still alive,
released, back to arthritis,
diabetes, vertigo
and old age,
waved on our way,
with smiles, and soap,
to live another day,
or two, or even three.
